Poemtura on the Black-bellied Whistling Duck (Dendrocygna Autumnalis)

BlackBelliedWhistlingDuck.png

A debonair duck

Who hails from Arizona.

Never shy of his pink legs

Nor his black underpants.

.

What a sight

When he flies.

Those white stripes

Render his wings bright.

.

He works hard

In wetlands and woods.

And to rest, he perches

On fence posts and trees.

.

He sports a red bill.

And whistles

An unforgettable

Pee-che-che-ne.
