POEM: ಆಶಾಪಯಣ – Journey of hope

ಎಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಿದರಲ್ಲಿ

ನಿಮ್ಮ ತದ್ರೂಪವೇ ಮನದಕ್ಷಿಯಲಿ,

ಏನು ಕೇಳಿಸಲಿ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಸ್ಯನುಡಿಗಳ ಕಲ್ಪನಾ ಅಲೆಯಲಿ.

.

ಏನು ರುಚಿಸಲಿ ನಮಗೆ

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಇಷ್ಟ ಭೋಜನದ ರಸನೆನಪಿನಲಿ,

ಏನು ಮಾಡಲಿ ಕೊನೆಗೂ

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅನುಭಾವನೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮಿಬರಲಿ.

ನೀವೇ ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿರಲು

ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮಲಿ ಮರುತಿರುಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವೆವು.

ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಲಿ ನೀವು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಬರುವೆವು ನಾವು

ಮನೋಕಲ್ಪನೆಯ ಆಶಾ ವಿಮಾನದ ಪಯಣದಲಿ.

ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾಗಿ ನೀವು

ದೇಶ, ಭಾಷಾ, ಜಾತಿ, ಮತ

ಮತ್ಸರದ ಬೇಲಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾರಿ

ಹಾರಾಡಿ ವಿಶ್ವಮಾನವರರಾಗಿ.

Whereever we look

Your images recur in our mind’s eye.

Every sound that we hear,

Moves us on waves of your effervescent wit.

.

The tastes that we delight in,

Remind us of your own delicatessen pleasures.

Whatever we do

Remerges us with your remote emotives.

.

That you emerged

Out of us,

Leads us back

To co-mingle with you.

.

Wherever you go

Thither we come

On the imaginary

Flight of hope.

.

Be those free birds,

Jump over the spiteful

Fence of caste,

Creed and religion

And fly on as universal humans.
